summer, we look forward to welcoming you at Chalet Chovettaz.
The
charms of Les Contamines-Montjoie don’t fade when the snow eventually
melts away. An alpine summer in the “Secret Valley” is
special in its own way and the chalet is the perfect accommodation
for your summer holiday.
The sense of community in Les Contamines continues throughout the
year with a welcome party each week in the village square for all
visitors and a free music concert every Thursday in the bandstand.
Come and meet the locals!

Les Contamines is also the starting point for guided high altitude
adventures and mountaineering, rock-climbing, hiking using the excellent
cable car network of the Alps, 28 sign-posted trails focusing on
different aspects of mountain life and four-wheel driving.
The telecabines operate from July to September (contact us for exact operating dates) making the high mountains available to recreational walkers. Here you can hire pedaloes or just take a refreshing dip or continue down to the mountain beach.

the flora, fauna and water features of the mountains. Activities

For a unique feature in the Les Contamines-Montjoie summer calendar,
consider the “choral camp” for all songbirds. Novice
or professional, gospel, pop or sacred music enthusiast - spend
6 days in August with kindred spirits.
Kite flying and making are also amongst the other events on offer
during the summer months.
